vietnamfossil
Hi everyone! Can you help me ID this fish? My friend give me this one but he don't know the provenance of it, so I think it maybe belong to common fish such as knightia / Lycoptera / Dastilbe that are sale on many fossil shop. It preserved an eye as well and still have a up fin near the end. Thank you.
jpc
I think we need to see more fins to ID it correctly, but the rock does NOT look like Green River Fm. 1
Fossildude19
Not a Knightia or Dastilbe. Also, I don't think it is a Lycoptera either. Unfortunately I cannot determine anything else from the photos. Maybe one of the French perciformes? 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
