New Members artur Posted March 22, 2023 New Members Share Posted March 22, 2023 Found in Southern Ontario, late Ordovician. Would these be the fossilized burrows of the Brachiopods? Or just odd erosion? Note the trace fossils around the "Burrows".
DPS Ammonite
They are probably interior and exterior molds (impressions) of shells and other creatures with hard shells that dissolved away. 3 My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned. Rockwood
Notice how the trace seems to penetrate the mold. The shells probably dissolved away relatively soon after burial. 1
