Frank Menser
We are considering moving to Nevada--south of Vegas. Anyone familiar with collecting sites out there and any shows or rock shops? Be true to the reality you create.
JimB88
They find icthyosaurs in the Augusta Mountains. Theres an article on a 30-40 foot one found there in the National geographic magazine. So happy lizard-fishing!
siteseer
Nice response, Inyo. From a reliable source I heard that someone found a Helicoprion tooth whorl (Early Permian shark) in the Vegas area years ago (1970's?). The collector either knew what it was or it was identified for him soon after. He was offered money for it but refused even generous offers. He planned to keep it for a while and eventually donate it. I haven't seen even a picture of it but my source wasn't the type to tell fish stories.
