Maui shark tooth?

Hello. First Ive read that noone finds shark teeth in Hawaii. I have found teeth in other locations but this has me wondering.  The shore on South Maui is full of coral and lava rock. There are A LOT of sharks here. Could this be a tooth that is worn down from the abrasive nature of the shore?

Thanks!

No Enamel. Not a tooth.

yeah I agree with fossildude. It has a roughly shark tooth-like shape, but is probably a weathered piece of shell or coral.

Maui doesn't have fossil deposits to my knowledge. You'd think modern shark teeth would wash up, but they generally don't on any of the islands I guess due to currents. It's still worthwhile to check out accumulations of gravel and shells on Maui as urchin tests and cowries pop up here and there.
