Desrosiers1718
Been slowly working on this fossil concretion using a dremel tool and some coats of B72, slow progress but I am starting to expose some of the bone. Can anyone give me any tips or advice, this is my first time doing prep work on bone.

Desrosiers1718
I know Mamlambo usually preps with vinegar acid baths, wondering if this would speed up the process?? And if anyone has advice.
caterpillar
Acid etching can be a good solution. Use 5% dilute formic acid. Even though the acid is more effective on limestone, you should still have results on sandstone. The bone does not risk anything because it is composed of calcium phosphate or the acid attacks the calcium carbonate 1 http://www.paleotheque.fr
