Thanks I thought it did but I’m better with trilobites. so i was unsure if this specimen was painted or what not, if anyone could help with a species name that would be great as well it looks to be a specimen from somewhere in New York.

Hard to be certain of an ID, given the lack of provenance.

Only provenance he could give was New York. he confirmed to me a moment ago.

That's a pity, since fossils lose their value both scientifically and financially without precise information, so hopefully he's not asking too much for it.

I’ve heard back from the owner with a precise location of where the original person collected it, he said it’s from, Langs Quarry, in Herkimer.
