Mystery Cretaceous (Coleraine Formation) Sea Fossil

Is this the inner whirl of an ammonite or something else? This was found in Northern Minnesota Coleraine Formation. Sorry limited photos as it was donated to the Hill Annex (mine) Palaeontology Project

I think I did find one of those also. But this does look different unless its a quite different species.

Yes, different species have different internal shapes.

Put "bivalve internal cast" into Google and you'll see a variety including some like yours.
