Possible Megafauna Metapodial ID found near Florida/bama border

Welcome!  I believe it may be a tapir metapodial. Nice find!

This photo is dated Sept 21st, 2009.. I had been fossil hunting for about a year...  It was a great find for me, and at my fossil club,  someone Identified it as a Tapir metapodial... I was really pleased...

How did you know it was a "metapodial"  ?

That would be @Meganeura.

Can confirm, I recognized it as a metapodial but didn’t know what from - just that it was from a large animal. Or so I thought anyway!
