Does anybody have any idea what this is?

It's the size of a throw pillow and it's extremely heavy it was embedded in the bottom of the creek behind  the house I dug it out.

  • Cris changed the title to A Creek Find

1- PLEASE - Always indicate where a sample comes from to identify. Missouri is a bit big I guess. A big city nearby will do.

2- PLEASE - always give a size when requesting identification. A cushion can have any size. Nothing will ever replace the effectiveness of a ruler in cm or inches.

It’s up to you ! ;)

As Coco is asking, and as is also asked in the introduction to this section, please give us some more precise information about your find. The thing is, rocks that look like this can be found everywhere and under practically all stratigraphical circumstances, so more details are necessary in order to narrow down the possibilities.

Moved to FOSSIL ID.  ;)

Looks like a concretion, to me.

Not seeing a fossil here.
Location is needed to  figure out  the stratigraphy of an area, and what fossils are available to be found.
