This looks like it could be an antler tine fragment to me.  Putting the general region where it was found can always be helpful to narrow down IDs.

I would agree with antler or bone.  No enamel or other characteristics I would expect to see if it were a tooth.

I don’t know were it’s from but I bought just a bag of fossils a while back and this was in it. If it is an antler what could it have been from?

that would be cervidae then...

Not the most probable explanation iff you found it in a bag of shark teeth for example, but if we are talking about neogene deposits or a mixed bag, antler could be a good fit.

Thats why we are so eager on context.

I found it mixed in with a bunch of minerals and shark teeth, I don’t know we’re the fossil is from but I don’t have any shark teeth that look like this

I have been buying fossils for over 6 years and I found this in a box mixed with shark teeth

Personally, I do not normally purchase fossils as I am lucky enough to live in a location where great fossils from the Paleocene to the Pleistocene are found. But, the few I have and any I would; making sure I have good sound provenance is a must in order to be able to properly verify identification.

Yea I have to buy or travel to get fossils so most of the ones I have I had no idea where they came from

I think the point @sixgill pete was making is that if you purchase fossils without location information, then you should understand that some of them may be unidentifiable. 

 

Reputable sellers should be able to provide information on where a fossil was found (location, formation and age).
