Shellfish, ... but what kind? Guizhou Province, China.

Ordovician period.

They are from Suiyang County, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, China

I think they should be some shellfish, but I would like to get more information about them.

Thanks!

Welcome to TFF from Austria!

Nice!!

Do you have an age for them - from what formation are they?

I don´t know, what they are, I can´t even decide between brachiopods or bivalves* with certainty.

*They look all bilateral symmetric, so brachiopods. BUT: Superficially, many of them remind me somewhat of cardiid bivalves and the singular smooth one of glycymerid bivalves, which both are quite bilateral symmetric...

Thank you very much for your reply

They are believed to be from the Ordovician period, in conditions similar to mudstone

Yes to brachiopods, but I'm not familiar with Chinese forms at all.  I'd have to leaf through the Treatise to find something similar.
