Fossil found in Wisconsin River

Hello! We found this in a river bed in south Central Wisconsin. What do you think it might be? Some of us think it is a mushroom and something maybe a seashell. Thank you!

It seems to be a brachiopod, reminiscent of a strophomenid/strophodontid. @Tidgy's Dad

Looks more like a possible Orthid brachiopod, to me.

Definitely NOT a mushroom.

It could be either.

Is it domed, slightly rounded, flat, or a bit concave? Looks slightly convex to me.

How wide is it, please?

Can you tell us the nearest town/ city?

It reminds me of giant barnacles. I have found many similar fossils that are the remains of the bases of barnacles .

It could be the same fossil but the "rings" look different.
