jpc
That bottom one is incredible. Have oyu guys been to see the newly discovered tracksite in my ancestral homeland... the Swiss Jura Mtns? They found some extensive trackways while doing construction for a new highway. And now there's a museum built on the site... I think. I plan to visit next month. Thanks guys JP, before to go up to Sainte Marie aux Mine for the Fossil Show, we checked the Swiss website learning that the newly discovered tracksite were still closed to the public. If you will be able to go there, I will be happy to publish a short report on Fossili Veraci ))))))) Edited July 2, 2010 by Fossili Veraci Erosion... will be my epitaph! http://www.paleonature.org/ https://fossilnews.org/
Plantguy
Fossili Veraci, mighty impressive tracks you have there! As Steve and jpc pointed out that one with the claw is highly unusual and just spectacular. Its amazing to see this kind of preservation! That first picture is mighty impressive as well. You can almost picture them browsing around slopping in the soft sediments. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Chris
Vari Raptor
I could have seen the site in the Jura, it is really beautiful! An association of French-Swiss paleontologist, tracks in all directions, sauropod, little theropod... superb! There are also impressive tracks in the Lot, with Crayssac pterosaur track to earth, very impressive! some pictures: Crayssac: Publication: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6VJ3-3T0T55C-Y&_user=10&_coverDate=11%2F30%2F1997&_rdoc=1&_fmt=high&_orig=search&_sort=d&_docanchor=&view=c&_searchStrId=1389601756&_rerunOrigin=google&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=10&md5=d0c9501c5c02881cd803e4c47a2a87db Jura: (a variety of tracks, not the topic but not very far) Publication: http://cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=17910308 Good day Ignorance is bliss... facebook.com/TheStoneHouse.fr

MOROPUS
There`s another region with one of the best dino museums in Spain: It`s the western coast of Asturias region (northern Spain). Most of the sites, are sea cliffs and beaches, surrounded by very old (middle Paleozoic) marine (and aswell fossiliferous)strata in high, rough and very picturesque mountain range. Here, you can see the biggest sauropod tracks in Europe; 1 metre across! Here is the link of the museum (MUJA): Click here!

MOROPUS
I love so much Asturias. I went over there several times and I always had GREAT GREAT TIME!!! I agree with you! Asturias, in my personal opinion, is one of the "not-to-miss" regions in Spain if you are on holidays. Beautiful scenery, better people, nice meals (Yummy! Fabes!), quite cheap hotels, and FOSSILS! (Paleozoic marine layers, coal valleys on the south, Jurassic on the western coasts, marine nummulitic layers on the eastern part...).I`ve been many times, but I always repeat! Here is a pdf, with more info of Spanish and general view of dino tracks. Written by my friend Santiago Jimenez.Dino tracks
