So I found this in my yard it wasn’t buried it was on top of the surface. I’m new to this. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much. It looks like I’m human head sounds very different but yes thank you

Sorry. I'm afraid the Smithsonian will not be wanting this. I see only a suggestively shaped rock.

Looks like a chunk of chert to me. No head other than a vague shape.

Accomplishing the impossible means only that the boss will add it to your regular duties.

Of course we can see what appears to you to be these things. "Heads" do not fossilize in this fashion. There is absolutely no evidence of bone here, just mineral substance. This is a clear case of pareidolia

I suggest you visit a museum to familiarize yourself with the look of fossil bones and teeth.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I do see the vague resemblance to a human head, and its funny how the rocks colour follows what would be the hairline.

Another forum member (Sorry, I do not recall who) put it very well: If you see a cloud resembling a head, you do not assume its a real one.

You got a nicely headlike stone, but no fossil, sorry.

A head would fossilize as a skull. The skull is made up of many bones, not fused into a single blob. Morphologically, skulls have bilateral symmetry, which this rock does not possess.
