I recently bought this gem remopleurides (?) trilobite and I think it could definitely use some work.

my question is, how the heck do I find someone to prep this thing for a normal price without destroying it!  I live in NC so the closer to me the better!

We don't actively solicit prep services on the open boards.

That said, there's almost nothing left to prep on this disarticulated specimen. This matrix material is very soft and clay-like, so at best you might use a pin very carefully to expose possibly a few pleural tips; otherwise, this is about as complete as this one is going to get.

Yes I was going to say it’s a very soft clay and the specimen is mostly crushed!

so definitely not worth it huh!

A good volume of this material from China's Baoshan, Yunnan's Ordovician has been coming out, but almost all of them are as-is, what-you-see-is-what-you-get. Still, even a disarticulated Remopleurides from an atypical location is worth cherishing and displaying.
