Megalodon Tooth Fossil Questions

This is one of my Megalodon tooth collections. What is that sticking out here?  Is it called a bridge?  The Chubutensis teeth are sticking out like this. Is there a possibility of Chubutensis teeth? It's just a pathological tooth, right?

That’s a really nice tooth!

Thats what is known as a pathological tooth. A deformity caused by damage or crowding when the tooth was forming.

Not an Otodus chubutensis but looks like a O. megalodon to me. O. Chubutensis has cusps that are almost fused with the crown on both sides. This has a deformity on one side.

I love pathological teeth. Every one is unique.

Thank you for letting me know. I really like the Megalodon tooth too!

Where is it from? It has interesting colors. Reminds me of some Peruvian and Cuban teeth.

Found on Java Island, Indonesia!
