Flute-Shaped Shell, Segmented? Radium Springs New Mexico. Mississippian, Pennsylvanian?

Found this fossil in a large wash-out (arroyo) outside of Radium Springs, NM. Close-up shows segmented compartments in "tail". At least, that's what I think. 

Possibly something else? Side view shows where the object begins to flute/enlarge.

Possibly a nautiloid or Goniatie?
Pictures are pretty blurry, but Nautiloids have these types of chambers.

Preservation is poor, as well.  :unsure:
