9 y/o niece's discovery on her first visit to a beach I've frequented for 30 years!🤯

Looks to me like concentric rings with barbs leading to a central maw.

 

My first guess was a heavily eroded Sea Urchin, but now I'm not so sure?

Any ideas?

Looks more like some sort of Coral, to me.

I agree with Tim, a solitary rugose coral from the local Middle Devonian marble. It's rather metamorphosed so difficult to ID (for me anyway), but maybe something like this?
