jikohr
Hi, welcome to the fossil forum! I'm leaning towards cow just becaue of how modern it looks but I'm no expert with mammals. Where was it found and how big is it?
Balance
Bison anatomy diagram Im pretty sure bison horns turn up. Yours turn downward. It reminds me of a Saler Hereford cross. Cows have a different end to the nasal process “nose”. They have eye orbitals that stay more parallel to the centerline where bison are pitched outward at an angle. Cows also have a foramen above the eye that it appears bison do not. Jp Cattle Edited May 28 by Balance
Rockwood
Ya, I think it compares best with the cow.

jpc
9 hours ago, Carl said: Just fyi: a bison is a bovine. I agree ... bovine is an adjective that describes anything in the family of cows. Bison are in that family so bovine also covers bison. (Hey Carl... nice chatting with you today. ) Edited May 28 by jpc
