Fossilized or petrified egg

I acquired this piece with the label attached. The dimensions are appx 10in long, 6in wide .

Hello, could you please provide us with the information from the label ? Finding location, age, formation would all to ID this piece. 

 

But from all what I can see so far, this does not look like an egg to me, more just like a rounded rock :unsure:

 

No recognizable egg shell texture, an egg this fossilized  would most likely have cracks running through it, as it had been most likely been compressed,  exposed, eroded, e.t.c...

 

But lets hear what others have to say, if I'm just seeing things...

Welcome to the forum!  Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any evidence that this is an egg, either.

It's usually fast flowing rivers or wave pounded shorelines that produce rocks like this. Perfectly symmetrical ones are somewhat rare.
