Me and a couple buddies have they idea of hunting for shark teeth and making a trip out of it. We are experienced hunters in the Venice, FL area, and would be open to any locations across the world or even just the US to find the best shark teeth! Any opinions or locations would be much appreciated( just no beaches lol)!

Green Mill Run, NC and Big Brook, NJ are very popular and productive creek walker style hunts for sharks teeth.

If you want dry land and more of a dig-it-up type experience - Bone Valley, FL / Shark Tooth Hill, CA and Aurora NC's annual fossil festival offer those but all are pay to enter

Anything i've cited is extremely well known/popular locale -- feel free to search TFF or even google for more details if you would like

Big Brook in NJ as already mentioned for Creatceous shark teeth (Goblin, Crow, Mackerel, Sand Tiger). Do some digging around on Google for other rivers, brooks and cricks in NJ, as most of the state has spots, with Monmouth County having some of the more well know locations (like Big Brook). There are pockets of Eocene and Miocene formations that run through the area. Quite a variety of Shark species, with the exception of Megalodon. All locations will yield better fossils by sifting, however I've made some pretty good surface finds on rock beds.

There are several formations that run through VA and MD that are very good for shark teeth.  All run through major rivers/bays (James, Potomac, Chesapeake, etc.), however are very "beach like", but are all good for shark teeth, including several in the Otodus line. You can also find quite a few cetacean and other mammal fossils as well as a whole variety of invertebrates.

Good luck! Would be cool to see a post showing the planned trip, then your day by day results as you travel along.
