ScottM
Found this in the Bakersfield/Sharktooth Hill area. It does not look like the Allodesmus teeth I've found before so I'm guessing whale. Aulophyseter morricei perhaps? Thanks for helping! Bottom scale on tape measure is cm. 1

shark57
Need a picture of the non-pointy end, but it looks like a sperm whale tooth to me.

Thanks @Coco Scott, Please search this forum for "Aulophyseter" > you will see about 60 threads including this one. https://www.thefossilforum.com/topic/11579-sharktooth-hill-virtual-museum/#comment-132945 Then you will know about as much as I do about Aulophyseter.. Here is one of mine. I am worried about the side groove and the Odd wear on the tip. But I seem to see whale bands.. 1 The White Queen ".... in her youth she could believe "six impossible things before breakfast"
ScottM
Thanks for the help! @Shellseeker that link was especially helpful as a few of those Aulophyseter pics look pretty darn close to my tooth.
