Footprint, or anomalous geologic formation?

This is a very unusual impression that has taken the shape of what looks to be a bi-pedal footprint. Obviously this flies in the face of known information about when bi-peds inhabited the area (mid-southern Vancouver Island), however its form, depth and measurements are almost perfect. Any ideas, info or opinions?

Looks like a xenolith in igneous rock to me.
