  • Sven Daems changed the title to Museum voor Natuurwetenschappen Brussel, België

You are on an international forum, please write in English. For me English is not my mother tongue either, but we all make an effort to write in English.

Moreover, it is a pity that there is no comment on or under your many photos.

The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences in Brussels has one of the largest museum halls in the world, which is completely dedicated to dinosaurs and is best known for their large collection of iguanodons. These were found in 1878 in a coal mine in Bernissart, Belgium. There are about 30 copies of this. At that time it was thought that the upright posture was correct, today we think that they moved on 4 legs. In Brussels, however, they remain in an upright position, because the bones have become too fragile to change the position. There are also numerous rooms with stuffed animals and there are regular temporary exhibitions. With their large collection of both real skeletons and replicas, this museum is definitely worth a visit for any enthusiast.

Welcome to TFF

Thank you,  Great Pictures for those of us unlikely to get to Brussels.  I especially like the open air feeling of the surrounding infrastructure.  A few of our Museums (especially Art Museums like Salvador Dali museum in Florida)  have implemented audio headsets with multi_language descriptions for each viewing station.  With AI,  I am hopeful that that technology with reduce our language barriers.

A little more information on the display of the small dinosaurs surrounding the nest of eggs.
