Small phalanx found - ID help

Recommended Posts

I found some sort of phalanx at a lake in the Netherlands. At this location fossils can be found from the pleistocene, but most of the finds are from the (early) holocene. I'm hoping someone can tell me whether this is a bird or mammal phalanx. Any additional information is most welcome, but I don't think it will be identified online.

The matrix in the background is in centimeters, so the length is about 2 cm.

Let me know what you think!

I'm getting a mammal vibe but can't go farther than that.
