I obtained a fossilized tooth from Hokkaido.

Do you know what kind of teeth they are?

There are no serrations.

The era is Cenomanian.

Mosasaurus?

Classic Mosasaurus is nearly not possible from Cenomanian age. Lot of discussions about the first and oldest one, that there are some cenomanian known, but I would assume this are not Mosas

Stone looks more like Hakobuchi-Formation, Yezo-Group for me. Than Mosa could be possible, tooth looks like

Thank you for answering.

I thought it would be flat for a Mosasaurus.

I think their enamel is different from that of sharks.

I get the impression this tooth is trihedral rather than flat. Which wouldn't be a great match for mosasaur either. But maybe pliosaur or polycotylid? :Confused05:
