New Members Rinni85 Posted June 22 New Members Share Posted June 22 I Found this in my bag of sand/rocks/shells I brought home from Damon point. I like to find and collect the super tiny shells but I came across this yesterday. It looks like a shark tooth. I'm not sure what kind though or how old it may be. Any ideas? I don't know anything about fossils.
Mark Kmiecik
Yup, that's a fossil shark tooth, but very worn by movement of sand and water. Will be difficult to ID because of that wear, but I'm no expert on shark teeth so let's wait for the experts to chime in. Be patient. Most of the members who can help are usually out fossil hunting on weekends, so it may be Monday or Tuesday before they respond. 3 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
