Unknown trace fossil found on pebble dash wall

I pulled this off a pebble dashed wall some years ago. I believe it to be a trace fossil of some kind? possibly an impression left by a tiny spiked shell?  I think that it's flint but I've no clue where the gravel used on the wall was queried from? Any ideas what it could be and from when?
