We went to a gravel bar in east Kansas yesterday and found some fossils that I can’t seem to identify. Thank y’all for your help!IMG_4860.thumb.jpeg.82c77ecc3a251653f0cb087c818e4ec1.jpegIMG_4861.thumb.jpeg.f905ac341dd48ecf0bb9432bff6f37d0.jpegIMG_4862.thumb.jpeg.fd04b3258d97ed162b220008d757f11f.jpegIMG_4863.thumb.jpeg.a13d1c2f857b01c578d137a828f23ee2.jpeg

  • C2fossils changed the title to fossil finds Id please

I can definitely see the similarity to peccary but it also looks similar to boar, is there any way to tell for sure?

peccary jaw picture I found for reference.

After seeing that reference photo, I am also leaning towards a worn peccary molar.

Look at the wear of the teeth on this jaw:

As for the first photos is it possible to be mammoth or mastodon last toe bone?

Here is a photo of a mastodon foot for reference.Mastedon-Bones-4-12-19-6-rgb.jpg.93bd8da52031b4829118eb2ab58c97e8.jpg

Seems too small to be mastodon/mammoth in my opinion.
