Brian James Maguire

This was found in the Carboniferous limestone of the Malahide formation , east coast Dublin Ireland.

I just wanted a second opinion on this one, i include a photo from Palaeozoic Fossils and figure 2 looks exactly like what I have.

I would appreciate your input.

Nice find. Looks like an ostracod to me, as well.

Ostracods are crustaceans.  ;)

Sometimes called seed shrimp.  :)

Ostracods are usually just invisible little bits recovered from  a microfossil matrix. This one is HUGE!  Great find!

Thanks guys, i was at my bench prepping and when i seen it i knew it was something but had no idea what , later that evening i was reading through that book and recognised it from earlier so i put it up here and like always i learned something completely new! I didnt even know of there existence! Thanks again all.
