Does anyone know what type of fossilized coral this is? Someone in my family found it long ago and gave it to me. They found it before there were regulations in place against the removal of fossils. The back is smooth and the front is ridged with crystals. I would like to display it for a project and I need to know what type of coral it is.

This appears to be a rather large Horn/Rugose corals. It is split down the middle. The smoother side is the outside of the coral.

Also, would like to say Welcome to the forum.

I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

The size and internal structure (complete horizontal tabulae, apparently no dissepiments) fit Siphonophrentis elongata which is found in the Jeffersonville Limestone there (M. Devonian).

It's a fine piece. Complete ones can get up to 80cm long, 10cm wide, so yours looks close to the maximum growth.
