Hi does anyone know what these fossils from Bramshaw (Bracklesham Beds) could be. They are hollow hemispheres which are very brittle, 2-10mm in diameter

Thank you for the additional pictures.   :shrug:I'm at a loss, however.

@TqB  might have some ideas on these...

Sorry, I have little experience of Eocene stuff. One or two remind me of bits of the various species of Globularia and other near spherical gastropods you get there.

I can't think what would stop these from being pieces broken off of concretions.  Do you find any concretions there? Are there features that don't show up well in the photos that I'm missing/

Other than a foraminifera that I’ve never seen before I would have no idea my best guess is mineral formation,

They kinda remind me of cave pearls.  Could be a similar geologic formation.

I think they could be recent insect egg shells. No idea what type though.

Can you burn one  (set on pin and hold over flame)?

And see what happens when another one is dropped in drip of vinegar - fizz or no fizz?

When crushed do they shatter or just flatten?

They remind me of plant seed pods, but thats just a superficial observation and may not have any bearing on the actual identification.
