snolly50
In 2015 snolly, a curious fellow, participated in The National Geographic's Genographic Project. A DNA sample was provided and in time an interesting report delivered. The geographic distribution of contributors of snolly's genetic material yielded few surprises; as the snollyfamily possessed a pretty good stock of lore "from whence we came." However, snolly was mildly surprised, but not astounded, that a 2.3% Neanderthal contribution was reported. However, the presence of 2.2% Denisovan stuff was a little unexpected. So, a total 4.5% endowment from earlier hominins. These are creatures of the Tribe of Homo sapiens; but not "human" in the commonly used sense. The snollywife exclaimed; "This explains a lot." 1 Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, also are remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams, Last Chance to See
