Suspected Coprolite?

Recommended Posts

Hi. I found this earlier this year on Lyme Regis beach. I initially thought it was nothing but held on to it as it seemed strange. I recently saw a Coprolite online which looked just like this and wondered if you could confirm or dismiss this? It is quite heavy and has a strange seam of a softer rock running through it which seems to have eroded, leaving an oddly flat edge. Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't rule out coal clinker.

Not seeing any detail here to suggest coprolite.
