Even managed to do some fossil hunting in zakynthos greece! Found an outcrop with stromatolites I think, I’ll post some more pictures later.IMG_7160.thumb.jpeg.ddbbd25308d6fbe0430b278216b5b0f9.jpegIMG_7161.thumb.jpeg.a6819a3b4f3ad8b7c8be6bfd61d1f464.jpeg

The Stromatolites sound interesting.

@Yoda here are a few bits from there, I have more but no access to them at the moment.

@FranzBernhard do you have any ideas on ID, I remember you liked rudists.

I’ve  looked around and can’t find much,

however from this publication I know it was found in the campanian-turonian and I found a mention of Hippurites so maybe it’s that?

1, this material has been published weathering for thousands of years so a lot of it was fragmented

Cleaned and glued (the cracks didn’t match up well due to erosion )

Thanks franz, is hippurites a possibility as it’s the only one I find mentioned.

The last one I don´t know, sorry.

The others are radiolitid rudists (cellular structure), not hippuritid rudists.
