Welcome to the forum!  Definitely not a tooth.  It looks familiar...maybe a part of a turtle plastron or carapace?  See what others say.

Welcome! Yes, I am also thinking aquatic (Most likely turtle?).

Bone piece. Maybe turtle. Possibly modern, and not a fossil.
