New Members CaroleAnn Posted July 9 New Members Share Posted July 9 I found this strange rock outside of the Quincy Mine on the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan about a year ago when I was just walking around outside. It’s rather light for a rock of its size. Could it be impactite? But, the location doesn’t seem to match that possibility. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Brevicollis
It appears like slag to me. Very common, probably man made. Fossildude19
I agree that this appears to be slag. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
