Is this a fossil?

Found what might be a fossil on my property in Alaska. It was with a pile of rocks from a local rock quarry. I’m not sure if it is a rock or a fossil. Please help me identify.

My first guess is something geologic — like a porphyritic rock. Maybe even weathered garnets in matrix? To know more confidently we will need photos that are more in focus, more magnified and with crisper lighting.

Cropped and contrasted:

Not really seeing anything that sticks out as a fossil.

Better, sharper pictures of both sides might be useful.
