Hello everyone,

I know that sauropod are difficult to classify as species.

May I know if this vertebrae can be recognized as Diplodocus? The seller's label is Diplodocus Caudal Vertebra.

It comes from the Morrison fm.

The centrum measures 8 inches x 4 inches.

Thank you.

They do appear to match Diplodocus caudal verts when I do a quick search. However, there are many sauropods found in the Morrison, and I'm not too familiar with the characteristics traits of each when it comes to vertebrae. Definitely looks like there's quite a bit of gap fill on that first one though.
