Hi all, we have been exploring on the anglesey coast and my son came across this strange looking stone, which we are wondering if it could be some kind of fossil ? We found it along the coast where there is a carboniferous limestone seam. Any comments would be appreciated as we are new to discovering fossils so thanks very much, Sarah and George 20240712_092508.thumb.jpg.0d4c53902672d8d09da96ab2277f8450.jpg

Those two round objects might be crinoid columnals, but the whole rock would make a great smiley :D

Crinoid columnals was the first thing I thought as well.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
