New Members Sarah and George Posted July 12 New Members Share Posted July 12 Hi all, we have been exploring on the anglesey coast and my son came across this strange looking stone, which we are wondering if it could be some kind of fossil ? We found it along the coast where there is a carboniferous limestone seam. Any comments would be appreciated as we are new to discovering fossils so thanks very much, Sarah and George
Ludwigia
Those two round objects might be crinoid columnals, but the whole rock would make a great smiley 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/

Mark Kmiecik
Crinoid columnals was the first thing I thought as well. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
