The seller thought they are Xiphactinus audax tooth. And it’s really cool for me but I am not an expert about these kind of fish. So I look for some help here. Plz share your ideas and help me. Thank you!

Formation: Eutaw Formation  Location: Monroe County, Mississippi  Age: 85-81 mya, Cretaceous

very short, but they look like real tooth and could be Xiphactinus

I agree that they all look like real teeth but none look like Xiphactinus to my eye.

I agree they are real teeth but I’m not sure about the i.d. Given…

The teeth can be a bit troublesome to identify and easily confused with the teeth of more common Enchodus. Xiphactinus teeth have a double cutting edge and are fluted (flat sections). The fluting is subtle and a strong light may be needed to see it.

牙齿识别起来有点麻烦,很容易与更常见的Enchodus的牙齿混淆。Xiphactinus的牙齿有双切削刃,并且有凹槽(扁平部分)。凹槽是微妙的,可能需要强光才能看到它。
