New Members Adem Savascihabes Posted July 15 New Members Share Posted July 15 Hello everyone, I have an Abelisauridae tooth that was found in the Tegana Formation, Kem Kem Basin, Morocco. I'm curious about any details regarding this tooth and the dinosaur it might have come from. The tooth measures 2 cm (0.7 inches). I've done some research on the Tegana Formation and think it might belong to a Rugops, but I'm new to this field and would appreciate a second opinion. Thanks in advance to all who reply! North
If there has not been any updates. There is no described Abelisaurid species in Kem kem beds, so it would be Abelisaurid indet. Rugops primus is found from Echkar fm in Niger. It is possible that it could be an species of one, but for now we can not know that. 2 2 There's no such thing as too many teeth. rocket
Lot of things are open with the "Kem Kem", like the "Abelisaurid-type", the "Dromaeosaurids" and so on. For many of the small raptor-teeth it is not known where they belong to, genus or species. So, follow @North and write Abelisaurid indet. 1
