Hi. Wanted to see if anyone had an idea what these two items might be from. My sister in-law found them on a beach in Newport RI. 1. Looks like some type of tooth 2. Looks like some type of vertebrae.  Any insight would be appreciated.
1.

Number 1 looks like a partial horse molar.  The second a "pork chop bone"? If the edges are flat they were likely processed (sawn?)  by a meat processing plant.

Both of these look modern to me. I don't get a vertebra feel from the bone. I don't see a neural arch or the expected symmetry. (FYI, the proper term here is "vertebra", "vertebrae" is the plural form).
