Kimdenise
Fossil or rock? What is the pretty, green stripe in it please?
Rockwood
Can you tell how deep into the rock the stripe goes? It looks like it could go all the way through, but my color vision is awful.
Ludwigia
The pretty green stuff almost looks like some kind of man-made adhesive substance to me, but maybe I'm wrong. Is it very hard or pliable to the touch? The rock is not a fossil at any rate. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Fossildude19
Mineral vein, probably. Maybe @ynot will have some ideas about this. Moved to ROCKS AND MINERALS. Kimdenise
Very hard green material. Vein Seems to go all the way through to other side what is it please? Even a bit shines through top. And sorry, my camera and photography skills definitely aren't up to par! Waxy, shiny. Ty again. Kim

First, it is best to set the object on a single colored flat surface for taking pictures. Holding in hand causes blur. Have the surface being photographed well lit. Second, location that the rock came from is very helpful in making an identification. With the poor quality of pictures and no location My best guess is variscite. But - there are several other green minerals that can be found in veins. Edited July 16 by ynot

The OP's rocks are , from what I can gather, all coming from piles of rocks in her yard. The previous owner had tons of rocks in their yard, and these are all found in those piles in Wisconsin, I believe. @Kimdenise It is helpful to place the location in the body of EACH of your posts, as NOT everyone will see all of your posts.
