Bivalve or other fossil?

This was found last week on the South Carolina coast. I believe it was between the north part of isle of palms and the southern tip of folly. I was along that entire area over the course of a week. I thought for sure it was a tiny bone etc, but it has been suggested it could be the remnant of a brachiopod or some bivalve. Thoughts? Thanks

Looks like a phosphate pebble, to me.

Bones are not in my wheelhouse, however.

Wait for some other opinions.

Pictures of all sides, in daylight, on a flat surface, with the camera directly above the item, with a ruler for scale might be helpful.

Holding fossils while photographing almost always causes some blur.

I also think it is a bone, likely replaced by phosphate.  Small fossil fish skulls, often worn or fragmentary, are not rare along the coast.
