New Members baolong Posted July 18 New Members Share Posted July 18 I found a tooth in Lance Creek during the paid dig. I thought it was from Nanotyrannus. But my friend told me it should be from a juvenile T. Rex’s front jaw tooth. Those are the pictures. Please let me know what you are thinking about. Thanks everyone.
JorisVV
Very sure it's Nanotyrannus. Quite a good sized one though.

AranHao
I think it may be Rex, it has a strong twist mesial carina, it is not flat, it is not typical blade shaped, although there is slight pinching on both sides of its base, referring to the juvenile Tarbosaurus, I believe that the base of the teeth of young individuals may not fully present Rex's circular base. I tend to think it is the anterior tooth of a baby Rex.
FB003
Plus another for nano if locality is correct. There is no lance creek formation. County and state would be required for any positive ID. *Frank*

jikohr
Hi, welcome to the fossil forum! My money is on Nano since the base is noticeably pinched. Beautiful find either way!
hadrosauridae
Its very thin for its length, and it has a pinched base, both of which say "nano". My question is about the serration(s). I can only see 1 in the pics? Is it on the side? I see nothing on the front of the curve. I see 2 pics with the tooth curving "left" and one pic has serrations on the edge, the other has serrations on the side. Frightmares
I'd say Nano, too, due to the pinched base and lingual twist.
