The first one is some form of mineral deposit. The second is possibly a small fragment of Taeniophyllum latifolium.

I found one of those closer to Pit 11 as well. That was almost 25 years ago. I was 12 at the time.

now that you mention stem fossils, I am curious about this trunk fossil I found near the same site I visited recently. It appears to undulate at a much larger radius than the Taeniophyllum latifolium.

I think there's too much weathering on that last one. It may even be a depositional anomaly. The first one of this last batch may be Borassifolium, a long slender leaf usually found as short fragments.
