Echinoids with spines in Bell County TX

Found a grapefruit sized chunk of limestone standing alone in a construction area recently. It had some echinoids embedded in it. Threw it in the car with other stuff I had found. When I got home I saw it had several embedded echies with spines still on or near them.

Not sure how to prep it. Peeled of one good piece, but left the main part as is. May just leave it like it is or try to make the echies a little more clear. Any advice appreciated.

The perforated tubercles, general shape, and spines suggest a Tetragramma species.

Absolutely exquisite find. If I were in your shoes I’d send it to @Ptychodus04 for prep

Thanks for the ID (tetragramma)! As for prepping, I am interested and may investigate.
