Is this a coral of some sort?

Found this in my yard today while installing fence posts 

 

in suspect coral of some sort

 

bay county, michigan

Yes, it seems to be a well worn colonial rugose coral - septa are just about visible when you zoom in.

There's not enough detail to ID it from first principles but Hexagonaria is one strong possibility for that area. (A lot of people would just say "Petoskey Stone" which strictly is only Hexagonaria percarinata. It should grind and polish well which would allow a firm ID.)
