Some kind of Larva ?

I found this a while ago, and it still intrigues me, can anyone identify what it is.

My first thought was a dislocated crinoid segment, but my brain keeps seeing a larva of some sort, has anyone ever found anything like that?

It was completely hidden in the rock, I sometimes use a Dremel to search the vacant part of the rock that's how it was found, I haven't touched it since

As there are crinoid ossicles present I suggest it is a coiled crinod stem
